啊？四世纪的罗马塔楼哦？

如果你去wiki，查Tulln，你会看到这样的句子：

Tulln is one of the oldest towns in Austria. Although it was settled in pre-Roman times (the name Tulln is presumably a Celtic word), it gained importance as the Roman fort of Comagena (Comagenis). In the final years of Roman rule, Saint Severius of Noricum is said to have visited the city, saving it from the Barbarians.

还有：
Other important sights include a convent (Minoritenkloster), several churches, and a 4th century Roman tower.

所以wiki的意思是，Tulln在很久很久以前，就曾经是罗马帝国的某个据点，而这个据点上面有一个堡垒，叫做Comagenis。接着又说，现今Tulln的sightseeing之一是一个4世纪的罗马塔楼。

这些东西其实我在去奥地利之前都不知道，我是回来之后，查了一下网络，才知道的呢。

为什么这些塔楼会引起我那么大的兴趣呢？

原因就是。。。
我发现，我们住的酒店，就在这个塔的对面！(左图：青色建筑物是我的酒店Nibelungenhof，照片的尽头就是那4世纪的罗马建筑物！）

其实我在第一天就发现了，对面的这个奇怪的建筑物看起来真够古老的。而且前面还竖起一个小小的牌子，我心想，应该是什么重要的建筑物吧。第一天奥地利人带我们到酒店的时候看到这个塔，并没有特别介绍过，仿佛这只是some building。

虽然没有奥地利人的特别介绍，但这塔楼本身特有的外型，和看上去无法掩饰的岁月留下的斑驳，都深深地吸引着我。我在那里居住的日子，每天都会看到它。心里常常会好奇，这个看起来空无一人的建筑物，到底是什么来的呢？

其实我翻开在Tulln拿到的地图，会看到这个塔的名字叫做Salzturm，顾名思义应该是跟盐有关系吧。回来后知道了它是4世纪的建筑物后，已经让我相当震惊。4世纪啊，多久以前啊？我们现在是21世纪啊。。。哇。。。真的是4世纪吗？？

过后我再深入调查一下，发现它不单是4世纪的建筑物而已，而且。。。而且它原来就是那个罗马堡垒Comagenis的一个side tower。只是现在那个堡垒没了，剩下这个塔！

The "Roman Tower" (formerly also called "Salt Tower") is the horse-shoe-shaped protruding side tower of Tulln´s Roman fort "Comagenis".
It thus belongs to a later stone-building expansion stage of the fort. In the Middle Ages, the Tower served for securing the landing place on the Danube. Later, it was used as armory and salt storage for the city. Today it is club house for the fraternity "Comagena". During the renovation of the Tower in 1984 was discovered, that the Roman walls are still remaining in its original stage up to the adjoining roof. Thus, the Roman Tower counts among the few completely preserved antique buildings north of the alps and is one of the oldest buildings in Austria.

不得了！看了这样的一段文字让我陷入很深的迷思之中。4世纪，罗马堡垒的塔楼，河岸的据点，后来用作军火库（！）和盐库，阿尔卑斯山以北保存得最好的古建筑物之一，奥地利最古老的建筑物之一。。。

啊？而我每天早上出门上班，都会看到它？ 我照的那些相片里面，是这样一个建筑物？！？！

不是盖的，早上真的能看到它！

我不知道为什么我会有那么大的感触。我不知道。我只知道自己是一个爱好历史的人。我还记得，小时候去马六甲，我碰到那斑驳的教堂、红屋、A famosa，就已经会幻想几个世纪以前这里曾经走动过怎样的人，发现过怎样的事。而现在这个不是几世纪以前，是10几世纪以前。。。我已经完全无法想象，罗马帝国的人吗？是不是亚历山大大帝那个罗马帝国的人！？！？

Alexander the Great，the king of Macedon。。。小时候读过的历史故事书突然显现在脑海中。。。我要想象的东西和人，是不是像是出现在电影里King Arthur，或者最近那部说Spartan的300里的那种？？？？

Okay...

历史的真实冲击一直在拍打着我的脑海。我幻想着，在历史的洪流之中，曾经车水马龙的罗马堡垒之前，伫立着一个21世纪的现代人，震撼于人类文明与历史的渊源流长中。。。
