MNC工作甘苦谈
在MNC工作有时候还真吐血。。。
2007 年 Quarter 3 从 May ~ July.
工作开始忙,美国总部又说要CUT COST ! Project 要Shorten deadline !
哇，听了就晕 ~ 。。。
Travel Plan 可以cancel的就cancel 。
Head Count 要减，留到明年才请人。
Teleconfrence 不到4个人的会议，最好不要用teleconfrence...
连招待外宾的lunch,dinner 都要 CUT !
最令人头疼的还是跨国部门间的工作协调。
我的工作常要和欧洲，印度的部门合作，有时为了配合他们的时间还要日夜颠倒。
一来一往的email往往可以持续好几个星期只为了解决一个小问题。。。
后来学乖了，用电话直接找人，结果好了一点。。。 不过有时候还是推不动他们。
欧洲人工作多少看私交，这是我碰壁多次的结果。。。
他们以前常Ignore 我的eMail,可能因为我是新人，他们不认识我吧。。。后来发现不是，如果你和他们有私交的话，他们比较会“动”哈哈。
我的做法是。。。 before 给他们email或电话，最好Add他们在MSN, 闲聊一下，让他们对你有亲切感之后再“下手”哈哈！而且“Thank you so much"，"I really appreicated"， "I know you are busy, but..." 这类的话要常说，狗腿一番，事情好办多了。
印度人又有不同的做法。。。
因为他们大多都是Support staff, 所以常要接受我们所给的"task". 个人觉得他们有点ego... 很多东西他们不懂，他们不会说，他们只会show你印度人横摆着的头说:" yes ~ yes ~ no problem, this can be done easily". 当他们说这类话的时候，要小心 ~ 他们很大的可能性会把东西screw up ! 我有次因为浆气炸了，当场在telecon发彪， 要他 On NetMeeting, 当场Step by step 告诉他 : "Follow my steps, do it now !" 我的同事还大声对着电话说:" This is not an option anymore, just follow the step we are telling you now !"
经过浆的“威逼”＋“恐吓”他们下次就不敢啦 ~ 哈哈。(好黑心哦!)

yup, call them is faster than email them when you do business with european people.
i used to email them to ask their help for repairing/maintainence/service some malfunctioning machine and equipment when i am doing my internship at germany research center. but... their respond is quite slow. after 2 days i would get the reply and i took my sweet time to reply them 2 days later also. lol
then, i felt that i must finish my project soon, so i called them instead. (practise my german language also... hehe). at first, they had great patience, but after 2-3days, i think that they would feel bored and found out that i am quite irritation, because i would call them so frequent (probably 3 calls in 12 hours?) and until a certain degree that they will say:"just send me the service report and we will check for you. thank you."
aiyo, less chance to brush up my broken german language again... >.<

but for your case that's just 1 time touch up with them and end the relationship, mine worst leh, hv to build up the rapport with them, I have to depend on them most of the time... haha
ehh install skype lar, simply go and find those Germans and talk to them via Skype, haerd that a lot of student from China doing that to learn english last time haha :)
